Marcus Boekelman

Marcus Boekelman is Vice President Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at Distrikt Capital and has over 20 years of combined real estate acquisitions, marketing, and development experience. In his role at Distrikt, Marcus brings extensive partnership networks and a team orientated entrepreneurial approach to investments and due diligence, planning and rezoning approvals, project management, and marketing of multi-residential condominium and mixed-use projects. He is also engaged with Distrikt’s existing investment portfolio and corporate development and strategy.  He is well known for his collaborative and end-goal focused approach.

Prior to Distrikt, Marcus held senior management roles with other well regarded Toronto based real estate investment managers and developers including Canderel and Alterra, where he was involved in multiple successfully executed mid and high-rise projects with a value in excess of $3.0 billion and over 10,000 residential units combined.

Marcus has a visible passion for the integration of real estate in communities through the balance of value creation and sustainable development, and promotes the ideal that successful development is achieved through building personal and community relationships, partnerships and trust.  He holds a degree in Urban Studies from the University of Toronto and is a RECO licenced real estate professional.
